The Rainbow Mountain is one of the best new destinations that Cusco has, is located south of the Inca capital with stunning scenery that can be enjoyed in just one day, the colors resemble those of the rainbow and hence the name of RAINBOW MOUNTAIN, the colorful mountain is due to a natural geological formation that was given through time so it will be something very surprising to appreciate it.
Itinerary
It will be necessary to wake up very early, between 4:00 to 4:20 a.m. We pick you up from the hotel to start our trip to the south of Cusco. The first stretch will last 2 hours until the first stop which will be Cusipata place where we will enjoy a buffet breakfast, then continue the journey for 1 hour to reach the checkpoint and start with the walk, our walk will last 2 hours, upon arrival at the viewpoint of Vinicunca our guide will give us an explanation, we will have time to take pictures for the memory and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
Then we will return by the same path to the starting point to take our transportation and return to the restaurant where we will enjoy a delicious buffet lunch, finishing our lunch we start our return trip to Cusco, we will arrive between 16:00 to 17:00 hours.
