The tour to Waqrapukara offers us a wonderful scenery of our nature that will be appreciated during our trip and walk, Waqrapucara (Waqra: Horn, Pucara: Fortress) is one of the archaeological centers where we can see an impressive Inka architecture.
Itinerary
Our tour begins with the pick up from your hotel at 5:00 am to go to the southern part of the city of Cusco. Chuquicahuana will be the place where we will arrive and then take the road to Acomayo, during this journey we will be able to appreciate the Pomacanchi lagoon where we stop and take some pictures.
Continuing with the tour we will arrive to the Town of Sangarara where we will have our breakfast, and then continue to the Rinconada Community from where we will begin the hike to the Archaeological Center of Waqrapukara.
During our walk we will appreciate the large amount of flora and fauna typical of the area until we reach our destination, we will have a guided tour throughout the Archaeological Center we will know the sectors called: Intipunku (sun gate), main square, towers, terraces, enclosure of Wiracocha and cave paintings with representations of llamas.
After finishing our guided tour, we will return to the town of Sangarara where we will have lunch and then return to Cusco.
